Casa Grande’s 23rd Annual Street Fair

Role: Photographer

Candid photos from Casa Grande’s 23rd Annual Street Fair and Car & Bike Show.

This local event takes over the streets of Historic Downtown Casa Grande, Arizona with over 100 local merchants, artisans, vendors, plus live music. Families big and small can stroll up and down 2nd Street for a car show which spans six plus blocks.

Squatting down, getting up close and personal with a lot of these vehicles, as I was shooting, I had several people question, “What exactly are you are photographing?”

Seeing the cars on display, I became immediately drawn to the badging and emblems and headlights used by these older car makers. There was a flair to them that reminded me that, “they really don’t make them like they used to.”

It was my goal to highlight these details through a series of portraits which showcased the details of these beloved cars.

While not often spoken, the pride of their owners was very palpable. As many simply sat beside their cars, watching as people admired their hard work, care, and loving attention, they were all so happy to share a word with any like minded souls ready to hear about their work.
